I wish I could find a copy of the original events list, I dont think a single event is the same as it was at the start |

Funny you should say that
2nd yoke has fallen through, so won't be in the comp anymore. Want to have the last event as a head to head, and also don't want to be fucking around with the height on the yoke when there's 20 competitors going one at a time.
Apologies to all the fuckers who've been training the yoke, but it can't be helped.
Now going to be;
Event 1 - Axle press for reps (floor to overhead - standard sized plates) 80kg - 75secs - head to head
Event 2 - Farmers holds - 120kg for time. Will be high pick up, so it's purely a grip event. Head to head - Competitors will be facing each other.
Event 3 - Loading - 85kg stone, 100kg stone, 100kg keg, 120kg keg - to approx 50"
Short break, like 15mins or so just to give folk a chance to get cleaned up etc.
Event 4 - Deadlift for reps 200kg - standard oly bar, 75secs, straps allowed head to head
Event 5 - Medley - 160kg duck walk 15m, sled drag 15m - this will be outside weather permitting. If inside it'll be slippy, so bring grippy shoes! _________________ http://www.unit20.org.uk

Sled drag gets my vote, slippy or not. Think its more exciting for a final event than just a longer duck walk |

As all set as I am gonna be
Had a pretty crap run up as got ill and finished up on antibiotics. Doc said no training on them, I ignored him and tried, lets just say he was right
So come sat it will have been 16 days of no training. Before that training was going good, so lets just hope that the time off is a positive even if it is a bit long.
How about yourself?
Cows are for eating not fliping!!
You listening Brian No more vegan poison this time!! |
